| Austin artist, Nettie Plueckhahn, a Llano, Texas native, paints a variety of subjects while specializing in hill country landscapes, colorful florals and still life paintings. After earning her B.F.A. from Texas Christian University, Nettie was employed as a commercial artist. She since has concentrated primarily on painting in watercolor and acrylic. Nettie is a member of the
Waterloo Watercolor Group and several other local art organizations. In addition
to having her work on display in juried art shows and in galleries, Nettie has
received numerous awards for her work. Her painting, "Wild and Free",
was selected to represent the 2002 Wildflower Days celebration held at the Lady
Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. |
